The first the angel did say
Was to certain shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields they lay tending their sheep
On a cold winter's night was so deep

And to the earth it great light
And so it continued both day and

Noel, Noel, Noel,

And by the light of that same
Three Wise Men came from far
To seek for a King was intent
And to follow the wherever it went

This star drew nigh to the
Over it took its rest
And there it did stop and stay
Right the place where Jesus lay

Born is the King of

entered in those Wise Men three
Full reverently upon the
And offered there, in His
Their and myrrh and frankincense

Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the of Israel

Between an ox and an ass
This truly there He was
For want of clothing did Him lay
All in a manger, the hay

Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the King of

Then let us all with one
Sing to our heavenly Lord
That hath heaven and earth of naught
And with His blood mankind bought

Noel, Noel, Noel,
is the King of Israel

If we in our time shall do
We shall be free from death and
For God hath for us all
A resting in general
